Sista is right on point. This is for those of you who insist that only LGBT identified folk (not queer identified) are always already invested in heteropatriarchal capitalism. I do believe that it is important for us to be visible, although this type of coming out narrative isn’t available for everyone. However, I still think that the notion of “privacy” when it comes to OUR intimate relationships is heterosexist; it suggests that the only legitimate relationships for public consumption are heterosexual dyads.
